The Orangeville Food Bank is currently recruiting for a Food Manager. Reporting to the
Executive Director, the Food Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring that all food
is properly distributed, from the time the food bank is notified of a delivery to the time
possession of food is transferred to a client or partner agency.
Specifically, they will ensure that food stock is properly stored and rotated and will work
closely with both the Executive Director and food bank volunteers to ensure clients have
the best possible selection of quality food items.
The successful candidate will have experience in community-based food programs and
food management. Along with the appropriate educational background, they must have
excellent interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence and a good sense of humour.
They will demonstrate the ability to liaise with donors, food suppliers, farmers and
community partners to ensure continuity of stock.
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) and will include occasional weekend
hours. In additional to a valid G license and access to personal transportation, the
successful candidate is required to have a successful criminal background check.
